DAY 1 – ARRIVAL DAY – VENICE
Arrival at Venice Airport. A private motorboat will take you to your boutique hotel. Time to relax and enjoy the sights of Venice. Welcome dinner with Venetian cuisine in a family setting, a few minutes’ walk from the hotel right across the Ponte di Rialto.
DAY 2 – VENICE
Morning is free for you to relax and rest after the flight.
In the afternoon, meet your private guide and enjoy a walking tour with your English speaking guide through the masterpieces and the beauties of this stunning city. Private evening visit to the Basilica di San Marco.
DAY 3 – VENICE – FLORENCE
In the morning you will reach Santa Lucia train Station with a private motorboat to catch the Frecciarossa High Speed Train that takes you to Florence in around two hours. Upon arrival, private transfer to your central 5* hotel and check-in at your room with a view over the river Arno. Time to relax and stroll a few minutes to a café for a cappuccino, then enjoy a guided orientation walk past renowned monuments before enjoying a welcome Tuscan dinner in a typical trattoria.
DAY 4 – FLORENCE
This morning you walk around the city historical center and browse through the shops of old crafts, particularly leather and jewelry. Meet the artisans who will tell you their stories and show you their art. Take a guided visit to the local market of Sant’Ambrogio, the most important food market frequented by Florentines. Taste some local specialties on site for lunch. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Uffizi, that hosts works of art by great Italian artists, such as Botticelli, Giotto, Cimabue, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and Raffaello.
DAY 5 – FLORENCE – NAPLES – AMALFI COAST
After breakfast, you catch the Frecciarossa high speed train and reach Naples in less than 3 hours. Your driver and your guide of today are waiting for you at the train Station. The driver will wait for you with luggage while you enjoy an original pizza at a traditional pizzeria with your guide and take a guided walking tour of the city center to discover the beauties that made this city famous all over the world. Besides the excting and lively atmosphere, you will also enjoy a visit to the Sansevero Chapel that hosts one of the most famous marbles statues in the world: the Cristo Velato.
Later in the afternoon, private transfer to the Amalfi coast. Check-in at your 5* hotel in the centre of Sorrento. Dinner will be served at the hotel gourmet restaurant.
DAY 6 – AMALFI COAST
Surrounded by mountains and sea, the beauty of Sorrento is breathtaking. The quaint streets are filled with wonderful ceramics and inlaid wood shops, and the scent of lemons permeates the air. You have free time to visit on your own. In the afternoon you will explore the coast by private car with your local guide. Your first stop is Positano, where you see what is considered to be the “jewel” of the area. Proceed to Ravello and discover Villa Rufolo, a jewel that contains centuries of history, magnificent works of art, and legends. The Villa is unique in terms of its architecture and decoration, and has never failed to make travellers marvel.
DAY 7 – AMALFI COAST – POMPEI – ROME
In the morning your driver will take you to the Archaeological Area of Pompei. The terrible eruption of Vesuvius that buried Pompeii on August 24, 79 AD, has left to posterity the opportunity to enjoy and visit the city as it appeared to the ancient inhabitants just before the catastrophe.
Proceed to Rome, check-in at your hotel and time to relax. Meet your expert English speaking guide for a short orientation walk from the villa to the heart of the city: Palazzo del Quirinale, Fontana di Trevi, Via del Corso. Welcome dinner at a local restaurant a stone’s throw from your villa, where the owners will show you how they prepare bread and gnocchi home made.
DAY 8 – ROME AND THE VATICAN
Early this morning, you will head to the Vatican, for a guided visit of the Sistine Chapel before the arrival of the crowd of tourists.
Then proceed to visit the Vatican Museums, that house one of the most important art collections in the world with masterpieces by Giotto, Botticelli, Caravaggio and Raphael.
Finally, you will take a tour of St. Peter’s square and the sumptuously decorated Basilica, the most important church in all Christendom, where you will have the opportunity of admiring Michelangelo’s Pietà, the gigantic bronze canopy by Gian Lorenzo Bernini and the highest dome in town.
The afternoon is free for independent activities.
DAY 9 – DEPARTURE
Private transfer from hotel to Rome Fiumicino Airport.
